KS2 Class Teacher

Job start date: 6th January 2025

Contract type- Fixed term - until July 25 (possibility of a permanent position)

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint an outstanding KS2 teacher with energy and enthusiasm and a love for teaching to join our team. We require a teacher who can demonstrate a commitment to raising children’s aspirations and attainment through creative and inspiring learning experiences. We are looking for a teacher whose dedication will motivate and connect with our pupils and families, whilst ensuring progress and ambition are fostered for all learners.

We are looking for a teacher who has:

  • proven ability to work effectively alongside others to have a significant impact on pupil's attainment
  • proven highly effective classroom practice
  • proven IT skills to support remote learning and Interactive Whiteboard teaching
  • clear understanding of assessing pupil's progress
  • excellent communication skills with children, parents and colleagues
  • ability to build effective relationships with adults and children
  • work as part of an effective team with humour and dedication
  • good organisation skills
  • uses their initiative
  • curriculum areas such as PSHE and Geography would support the development of our curriculum.

Site Premises / Facilities staff – Caretaker / Site Supervisor

Stockham Primary School has a vacancy for a Caretaker / Site Supervisor, starting as soon as possible.

Grade 6 Point 8 £24702 - Point 13 £26873 fte     Hourly rate £12.80- £13.93

Actual salary will be pro rata the above dependent on experience etc.

Hours – 22.5 hours per week (split shift 7:00-9:20 & 2:30-5:30 Monday to Friday)

Term Time plus 2 weeks

Flexibility with hours, times and weeks per year may be possible for the successful applicant.

This is a developing post and the need to be flexible in working methods with the ability to multitask is essential.

We are looking for someone to have a deep sense of pride in our site to ensure H&S, compliance, cleanliness and general upkeep is of a high standard.

 The role will cover a wide range of tasks and will interact with many different people, so good organizational and interpersonal skills will be required.

The successful applicant will work both independently and as part of the team and will on occasion work closely with contractors.

They will help manage the site to ensure full compliance with H&S statutory regulations.

Tasks will include Water, Fire & Electrical testing, Asbestos management, Utility management and general upkeep of grounds and building. 

They will be keyholders and responsible for unlocking and securing premises with alarms.  In the event of an activation, they will be a point of contact with the alarm companies.

The role will include premises related administration, coordinating contractors and ensuring effective calendar management and scheduling.  Accurate electronic records must be kept and shared appropriately and so proven use of MS Office, including Excel is desired.

Applicants will need to have a good basic level of DIY skills to help with the minor repairs and maintenance around the school.

Please note this role will have an element of physical activity and is likely to include lifting and working at height.

Administrator with finance responsibilities

Stockham Primary School seeks an all-around Administrator to support the office, finance and premises roles, starting as soon as possible.

Grade 6 Point 8 £24702 - Point 13 £26873 fte     Hourly rate £12.80- £13.93

Actual salary is pro rata of the above (approx. £19592 pa - £21314 pa dependent on experience etc.)

This is a developing role with a possibility for change in grade/hours as the role evolves.

Hours – 35 hours per week (8:00 am – 3.30 pm) Flexibility with hours and times may be possible for the successful applicant.

Term time only – and occasional holiday work may be required by agreement

This is a developing post and the need to be flexible in working methods and the ability to multitask is essential. We are looking for someone who can undertake, and cheerfully complete, a wide range of tasks, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills and very importantly have an eye for detail.

The successful applicant will work both independently and as part of the team and will be a point of contact in the reception to our School.

Together with managing accurate child records and school data systems, this role will include finance procedures, attendance and admissions and will cover a wide range of other administrative tasks.  Part of the role will be assisting with premises related administration and compliance, coordinating contractors and ensuring effective calendar management and scheduling.

Due to the nature of the role the successful applicant is expected to maintain a strict level of confidentiality and professional conduct.
