Welcome to Stockham

On behalf of the children, staff and governors of Stockham Primary school, I would like to warmly welcome you to our school community.

I have very recently joined the Stockham community as the Headteacher in September 2024. I am extremely privileged to work with a talented, dedicated and caring staff team who work hard to ensure that every child’s needs are met socially, emotionally, physically and academically whilst developing personal strengths. I am delighted and proud to be Head Teacher at Stockham. Indeed, it is the children who make our school such a special place. Committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning achieved through a combination of challenge, support, fun, smiles, encouragement and praise; we will ensure that all our amazing children flourish.

Children have just one childhood; we believe their primary school experience should be magical, filled with inspirational and unforgettable learning experiences. At Stockham, we know it is both our duty and pleasure to help our children delight in their precious childhood years, building a firm foundation for the next stage in their education and the rest of their lives. Our ultimate role is to help them blossom and grow, to believe in themselves and that anything is possible.

We believe passionately that a great education is one of the most precious gifts a child can receive. We want our children to enjoy their learning and we achieve this in an environment which fosters the fundamental values including respect, responsibility, empathy, positivity, self-belief, co-operation and tolerance.

Together, in partnership with home, we aim to provide a sound learning environment allowing children to lay firm foundations on which to build. We believe that a child who develops a love of learning is more likely to make good progress and a child who makes good progress is more likely to carry those skills forward in life.

We are determined that our school continues to build a strong culture for teaching and learning so that every child achieves their full potential. We believe that every child has the right to an excellent education and we will never settle for anything less!
